The Thai Non-immigrant Education Visa is not an employment visa in the strict sense of the term. Although it may be possible to obtain a Thai work permit on the Thai ED visa, the work permit would only entitle the holder to work part-time, less than twenty (20) hours per week, since the primary purpose of the visa is to remain in Thailand for the purposes of getting an education.
