US Visa India

India is one of the most fascinating, interesting, and exotic countries in the world. India boasts of abundant natural resources, but her most precious resource is her citizenry. Although employment immigration is popular amongst Indian Nationals, the US family visa categories are also available to those who meet the requirements. At the time of this writing, many Indian-American bi-national couples seek US Immigration benefits in order to bring their family together in the USA. The K1 visa has been a popular visa category for those American Citizens with an Indian fiancee; meanwhile, the classic method of utilizing an I-130 to petition for a CR1 visa or an IR1 visa on behalf of an Indian spouse or other relative remains popular. However, use of the K3 Visa has fallen into decline due to the National Visa Center’s recently enacted "administrative closure" of K3 visa applications when the underlying I-130 petition has been adjudicated. With that in mind, the reader should note that I-130 petitions are currently being adjudicated quite quickly compared to the relatively recent past.

Although section 214(b) of the United States Immigration and Nationality Act can have a detrimental impact upon some applicants’ ability to obtain a US non-immigrant visa such as a B2 visa or an F1 visa; this should not give rise to a notion that such applications are doomed to failure. In fact, many of these applications are approved each year, but the application process is designed to evaluate whether or not the applicant meets the appropriate criteria for an American non-immigrant visa.
